Kelly and Jordan’s Wedding-Catalina 4/28/07

Just returned from a great weekend on Catalina Island. Kelly and Jordan got married. I was the filmmaker…Surprise!

From the Hotel Metropole, to Descanso Beach, to the stunning Casino. This was simply a spectacular celebration of two people, clearly in love!

Wedding Photography was provided by the supremely talented Shana Cassidy. Music was provided by The Hodads.

All meticulously planned and executed by Catherine Rose Machado of An Event Two Be. This was a great team, and the event was a huge success.

Sunday breakfast at Joe’s Cafe, and back on the Catalina Express to Long Beach Harbor.
Best wishes to both families who were simply a delight to work with!

Athanasia & Steve’s Wedding

Just returned from Baltimore where i had the pleasure of documenting Athanasia and Steve’s Wedding Day.
The Ceremony was held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, which was simply gorgeous. The stained glass windows were original Tiffany!

The Reception was held at Gramercy Tudor Mansion, which certainly conjured up many memories of my childhood, growing up in England.

Photography was provided by George Weir. He is a lovely chap from Scotland, by way of Philadelphia, and what I found unique was that he shot the entire event with two Leica’s!

All my best wishes to Athanasia and Steve.

The Reviews Are In!

Wow! What a great time. I truly appreciate all the kind words and support, and it was just fantastic being there with some truly lovely people!

Cameron’s Bar Mitzvah

April 14th, 2007
It’s Saturday night, and the party is smoking down on Stage 6, on the Universal Studios lot. Cameron became a man today at Wilshire Boulevard Temple West, and it was an honor for me to be there to preserve these great memories.

Event Planners Hold The Date did an amazing job of putting it all together, along with Parents Brad and Alex, who were just a pleasure to work with.

DJ Percy from Feet First Entertainment really kept this party rocking from the moment the kids stepped off the tram and the doors opened. Talented MC’s don’t grow on trees, but Percy’s got the gift.

It was also terrific working alongside Anna Pocaro of Anna Pocaro Photography. Check out her website and gaze upon those gorgeous images. She is phenomenally talented, and a lovely lady to boot.

Brad’s a successful Hollywood producer, so it was no surprise to see quite a number of celebrities enjoying the festivities. Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel, Sophia Bush, Rene Russo, Baron Davis, Johnathan Tucker (The Black Donnellys), Eric Balfour (24) and Steve Guttenberg to name a few. Cameron is one lucky young man!

So what is the key to a brilliantly successful party? Unique location, great planning and knock out entertainment, are all key ingredients, however this delicious family really knew how to provide warmth, fun and love for their family and friends. Truly a great event, and thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Wedding Spoof

This was shot eight years ago in 1999, and is still being requested to this day. It was originally made as a video that we sent out to friends in our industry, in lieu of a Christmas card.

I just want to stress to prospective brides watching this, that it is ACTING and COMEDY, and that in no way do I conduct the videotaping of a wedding in this manor. I don’t even smoke in real life! I hope you enjoy the humor of it, and hats off to Jay Stein who really stole the show.

So back by popular demand…”My Wedding Film”. Enjoy!

Letters from our clients

Hi David,

There was a consensus that it was the best wedding DVD ever. I mean it was more like a movie than a wedding DVD. It was fantastic. I am so happy I can’t tell you. So I am sitting there watching and am almost at the end when I thought, ‘ oh he must have forgotten the Elvis Costello song’ and then you have the recap which BLEW me away. So thank you thank you thank you many many times.

Best,

Katarina Hyde

Letters from our clients

Hi David,

I talk about you to everybody who may need the BEST in your field ! We all love the Video of my daughter’s wedding that you did - it never gets boring to watch it - and not just for me - but for everybody who had seen it. Thank you for it forever……I told Aneta and Jon, that if they ever have any trouble between them all they have to do is to watch the Video from their wedding - it’s so powerfully beautiful !

Hope, you and your family are well.

Happy Passover !
