Wedding Spoof
This was shot eight years ago in 1999, and is still being requested to this day. It was originally made as a video that we sent out to friends in our industry, in lieu of a Christmas card.
I just want to stress to prospective brides watching this, that it is ACTING and COMEDY, and that in no way do I conduct the videotaping of a wedding in this manor. I don’t even smoke in real life! I hope you enjoy the humor of it, and hats off to Jay Stein who really stole the show.
So back by popular demand…”My Wedding Film”. Enjoy!

David,
8 years old? How time flys. I’ve always loved this video.
BTW how about the one based on As The World Turns or was it Days of Our Lives? Only saw that one in your seminar years ago.

Comic genius! A timeless classic that reaches far beyond the world of event filmmakers.

Funny, but also a historic example of an early steadi-cam device.
Great use of the multi-talented Mr. Stein. The perfect wedding movie has finally been made!

Gosh, I first saw that video at my first WEVA Expo to attend in 2000. It still makes me laugh out loud. Bravo my brother!

David, awesome! I’m so glad you’ve posted this. I remember seeing it but have always wanted a dvd copy of it, or some way to share it with others. Classic take on the cheesy videog. Great stuff!! Hope to see you soon.

If I keep working hard I think I can put out something of this quality.
I will take this movie as my benchmark.
Inspiring, especially the way you captured the grooms tear on his cheek, I was welling up myself.
Now I have something to strive for.

David,
I’m a wedding videographer in Arizona and I have not seen that kind of humor over here. Very, very funny! I’m still smiling about how over board you were.
Sometimes I have seen photographers at weddings that had a personal mission to control the wedding with their work. Your film reminded me of them and more.
Great stuff!!! I hope to meet you at WEVA this year.

That was great David. I have never seen this before, but it is just great! In fact, I wish it was longer.
