My New Music Collection

Consciously deciding only to use legally licensed music, i was approached by Triple Scoop Music, who have the largest world class music collection available for licensing. They kindly offered to give me my own Signature Collection! I was so exhilarated!

Their Signature Series music collections are designed to empower the filmmaker with an amazing selection of great songs, hand-picked by top creative professionals. They feature talented songwriters and composers from around the globe, including Grammy and Emmy-winning artists.

I spent months hand picking my collection and simply LOVE the music that i discovered. It will be featured on many of my upcoming film projects. My collection is also available for purchase and can be downloaded HERE.

The dvd’s days are numbered

Below is a photo of our new delivery system to our clients. It is a 4GB USB Flash Drive, and we are VERY excited.

The dvd, as we know it, no longer holds up in terms of quality. We value our clients and only want to give them the very best. Sure, we will provide a few obligatory dvd’s, but when they see the difference it will be obvious. The content on the USB flash drive we provide, is also optimized for uploading to Facebook, Vimeo or You Tube, and gives the client options for burning their own dvd’s and blu-ray dvds.

Also, aside from watching the HD media on your computer, units for TV viewing are available like the WD TV. It has now never been easier to view HD content from a usb flash drive on your TV.

Tech info for other Filmmakers:
These custom flash drives are available from Flashbay, inc. Please make sure you tell them who referred you!
The HD Quicktime content is encoded in H.264, and below are the settings we use to export from FCP:

Special thanks to David Williams and Steve Moses for pioneering the concept!

EventDV Magazine-feature and cover

We are so excited to be featured in EventDV Magazine again, this month. And on the cover with Paris Hilton!. I love to be on the cover because it makes my mum very proud. She collects them for her scrapbook.
The article is about collaboration, which is a big part of what i do. Im lucky enough to know some truly great artists and filmmakers, and collaborate at every opportunity.

Just returned from five days in Orlando, FL. Had a phenomenal time at the WEVA EXPO. I received, Monday night, a Bronze Creative Excellence Award for a photo montage. On Wednesday i gave a workshop to a capacity crowd on “Secrets to Staying Relevant”. Thank you to all the attendees.

It was wonderful hangin’ with some of the best event filmmakers in the country, including Ray Roman, Dave Williams, Patrick Moreau, Adam Forgione, Casey Warren, Loyd Calomay, Steve Moses and many many more!

Re:Frame San Francisco

Held from October 19-22, 2009, I was invited to speak at Re:Frame San Francisco, which is described as “4 days of intense shooting technique, business management, HD workflow, branding & marketing, creative storytelling techniques, social media and much more!” and it did not disappoint. My Seminar was entitled “Secrets to Staying Relevant”. Here is a review from Cameratown!

My Workshop

My Workshop

This being a conference primarily for wedding “filmmakers”, was a phenomenal opportunity to learn from each other in an intimate environment, made up of filmmakers new to the industry, as well as long time veterans.

Aside from the intense education, we had a blast partying every night way into wee hours of the morning. The Clift Hotel, downtown San Francisco, was beyond AWESOME! I finally got to meet and hang with fellow Event DV Top 25 recipient Joe Simon, as well as Moscow’s Oleg Kalyan. So much talent oozed from the Clift’s walls. Jason Magbanua, Kevin Shahinian, Kristen*, Alex & Julie Hill, Bruce Patterson, Loyd Calomay, Philip Bloome=OMG! The best of the best.

Made so many new friends. Cant wait until the next one. A big thank you to the Collective and all who came to my workshop. I had a blast!
