My first wedding at the fabulous Montage, Beverly Hills. Shaun Brown did a phenomenal job along with Carol Rosen. Photographs were taken by Vernon Williams. Great night and two wonderful families.
We were honored with the task of creating a movie trailer for this weeks episode of TNT’s “Wedding Day”.
Michelle and Roy
Michelle and Roy continuously give their time and energy to help improve the lives of others. They work for a nonprofit community outreach and opportunity center, mentoring, tutoring, instructing and assisting at-risk youth. The spotlight is now on them with a Hollywood wedding that begins with a specially created movie trailer by david robin | films, detailing their love story and climaxes with a silver screen wedding at the Park Plaza Hotel.
This is, i believe, one of the first weddings shot using the new Canon 5D Mk II camera, with 35mm lenses in HD 1080/30P. As you can see it has a very different look than conventional video. The shallow depth of field gives it a very film like quality.
Besides all that, we had a blast, spending the last night of the year at Casa Del Mar with a great couple and a lovely family. My good friend Sterling Franken-Steffen shot photography, and The James Gang rocked the house into 2009. Aside from my experimenting with new cameras and lenses, Jay Stein and Jack Winch documented the entire day with Sony EX1 tapeless HD cameras.
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life…for me!
Here was a gorgeous wedding and an equally gorgeous bride and groom. Held at the famous Mission Inn in Riverside. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the incredibly talented Cean from Cean One Photography. This sneak peek was edited by our new intern David Medill (okay i helped him a little bit). However, he did a great job.
